01  i do not participate in hate, vague and callout posts, and i will unfollow and/or block if i see these being posted from others. this rule also applies to writing and/or shipping policing and purity culture. i don't care what topics and with whom my mutuals write, and ask for the same in return. there's no fancy formatting in my writing except for a default icon (icon template credit: somresources) and smaller sized text. i write in third person. there is no expectation to match my format, but please do not use huge gifs or images!

02  i can be very slow due to real life responsibilities, so please do not hassle or rush me for replies. i am most active on tuesday and friday nights and weekends, and my activity in general is sporadic. if you have a time limit for replies from partners, we will not be compatible. i am also selective about who i interact with, so please do not take it personally if i do not follow back. i like to keep a clean dash of only those i interact with (or intend to), so please only follow me if you are genuinely interested in writing together. do not follow me if you are a minor! my blog is strictly 21+ only.

i love to ship (and romantic ships are my favorite) but there must be chemistry first, and i do not usually insta-ship (unless we write elsewhere or we are close ooc). i don't do mains/exclusives or affiliates, but any muses elijah has a significant relationship and chemistry with will be mentioned in the 'connections' section here. i am selective with smut, and it will usually be written as part of a wider plot and after we have written together for a while and have an established ship, instead of smut just for the sake of it.

04  i tag triggering subjects, e.g. 'drugs tw' to be blacklisted if needed. other content that may be present includes trauma, death, guns, blood, violence, injury, mental health and sexual content. however, a/b/o dynamics, non-con, animal abuse/death and sexual degradation themes will not be written or featured here. please tag animal abuse/death and emetophobia-related posts!

05  i am very selective about writing with characters from fandoms i am unfamiliar with (both canon muses and fandom-based ocs). i will not write with muses of real people/celebrities or anime/cartoon muses and fcs. i also believe that fiction is fiction, so if you are troubled by my willingness to write with antagonistic or controversial muses, this blog is not for you.

06  my main focus for rping is via plotted threads and meme continuations. i don't do one-liner threads. i will send memes to mutuals unprompted when i see one that suits our characters and i often continue them as threads if i see potential. i will also post starter/plotting and shipping calls occasionally, and will approach to discuss these if you express interest in them. i also love simply exchanging headcanons and chatting ooc about our muses, so feel free to shoot me a message once we're mutuals. i also rp on discord, which i will give to mutuals if requested (provided we have spoken/written together for a while previously, although i will make exceptions for discord only rpers). no group rps or group servers.

biography

i dream my painting.

elijah was born in san francisco to an art teacher, andrew, and nurse, camilla. his sister, felicity, followed some years later. the children were raised in a good home, living happy childhoods. at age 7, the family moved into a new home and elijah befriended a neighboring child on the street named cameron forrest; a shy, introverted boy whose parents didn't seem to spend much time with him.the pair soon became best friends, and elijah's kindly parents treated him as one of their own. when cameron came on a trip to the planetarium he fell in love with space and the stars, a passion which elijah and his family encouraged, and even bought him a telescope for his birthday, which the boys would use for hours at a time. while cameron proved himself a natural scientist and mathematician, elijah was more artistic; capable of creating drawings and paintings beyond his years, including a few rich depictions of space he would give to his best friend. as they grew older, cameron became the subject of his art more and more.by age 15 he realized he was in love with his best friend which forced him to figure out his sexuality, coming out by age 16 to his family and best friend, all of whom accepted him (although his feelings for cameron remained secret).a portion of his classmates were not so supportive, and elijah was routinely bullied; eventually leading to him secretly smoking cannabis for the first time. at 18, a usual night hanging out with cameron ended in the boys sharing a kiss, and they subsequently began a secret relationship. cameron confided in elijah that his career-driven, money-oriented parents were pressuring him to pursue a career as a lawyer, and elijah encouraged him to follow his dreams instead.cameron secured a place at mit to study astrophysics and the pair attempted a long distance relationship, but cameron's dedication to his studies lead to them going weeks without speaking and eventually they drifted apart; which hurt elijah deeply and left him feeling abandoned.things continued to deteriorate when his parents announced their separation and he began to feel something of a 'lost boy', not knowing where he belonged or what he wanted to do. as a result he fell into a reckless life of sex, alcohol and drugs to distract himself, becoming addicted to the latter and distancing himself from his family to hide it.he began working as a male stripper to fund his habits, as well as offer occasional sexual favors. when one wild night resulted in elijah ending up in hospital after an almost fatal drug overdose, the truth of his habits came out and he moved back home while going through rehab, reconnecting with his family while his parents rekindled their marriage. to distract himself from the drug cravings during his recovery he would spend hours painting and drawing, and helped out at a nearby animal shelter, eventually adopting an abandoned chinchilla he named coco.

he then got his first tattoo to represent coco; a small animal paw print on his right hip. a tribute to cameron followed; two silhouettes watching the moon and stars on his right wrist. he followed this with a paintbrush design with splashes of bright colors on the left side of his upper back to honor his love for art; one of the things that saved him and gave him joy again. eventually he moved to a new apartment with his pet and began creating art with a mind to showcase them in galleries, as well as take commissions from businesses and individuals alike, achieving moderate success thus far.his apartment is cluttered with art supplies and has his pieces decorating the walls, as well as ample plants and a large chinchilla enclosure against a wall. unbeknown to elijah, cameron never forgot about or stopped loving him, and cameron unsuccessfully looked for him after graduating with his ph.d and moving back to san francisco, even naming a comet he discovered after him.he tends to wear brightly colored, quirky clothes, or very little clothing when he's in his apartment due to his body running hot. he loves cold treats such as iced tea or coffee, and ice cream. he is rarely seen without a sketchbook to sketch out an idea, or a camera to take a photo if he's short of time. fellow artist bob ross is his hero and inspiration.

  • elijah is very flirty, promiscuous gets into sexual relationships without much difficulty, but he has abandonment issues and finds it very difficult to fully commit in case it all goes to hell, and he doesn’t deal well with heartbreak.

  • he enjoys open-mindedness, people who don’t judge, being adventurous and those open to trying new things. he is also quite attracted to opposites as well e.g. shy types that contrast his more outgoing side.

  • coco, elijah's chinchilla, has a big enclosure in eli’s art room, and she sometimes sits happily in the front pocket of his overalls when he wears them, or sit on his shoulder and 'groom' his hair as a form of affection.
